Our Guarantee and Contract

The new puppy that you are purchasing is guaranteed healthy and free of communicable diseases at the time you take possession. If the puppy, within 72 hours after the buyer takes possession, is found by a licensed veterinarian to be unfit for sale due to an infectious or contagious life threatening disease or illness (internal, and external parasites excluded ) you must notify us within 72 hours with a written statement from your licensed veterinarian. Failure to return written report within 24 hours of exam invalidates this contract. The breeder then agrees to refund the purchase price upon return of the puppy (uninjured or harmed) and registration papers to the breeder. A refund will be given only upon receipt of the report from a licensed veterinarian.

THE BREEDER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY EXPENSES INCURRED UNLESS THEY FALL UNDER NYS LAW. The puppy is guaranteed for 10 days from the date and time you the buyer take possession against infectious diseases such as parvo, corona, or distemper.

Your new puppy is guaranteed to be free from congenital defects making it unsuitable as a pet for 1 year from the date of birth. If your puppy is found to have life threatening congenital defects you must supply us within 7 days of diagnosis with your veterinarian's written report. We reserve the right to have the diagnosis verified by another veterinarian of our choice. The puppy would then be replaced with one of equal value as soon as available. A new puppy will be given only upon the report from a licensed veterinarian. This decision will be at the discretion of Bones Kennels. The breeder is not responsible for any expenses incurred or any expenses in attempt to try to cure the puppy. Any shipping expenses for returning or sending the new puppy would be at the buyer's expense. Your puppy has been on a de-worming and vaccination schedule when you receive it. It is very important that you provide this information to your veterinarian immediately. Worming and vaccinations, including yearly boosters, must continue on a regular basis or contract is void.

We encourage EVERY buyer to make an appointment with the vet before you pick up your puppy. We also encourage everyone to set up a regular veterinarian care schedule and make sure you keep up with the puppy shots. Have your pet checked regularly for heartworms. Use a good de-wormer that is recommended by your vet on a regular basis. Our vet recommends Panacur, and that's what we use. Use a good flea protection program. Here we use Frontline, on the advice of our vet. Advantage is also a good product. Ask your vet what he or she recommends. Flea collars do not work, so don't waste your money. The buyer agrees to take good care of the puppy and provide adequate food, water, housing, and medical care. The buyer agrees to follow the breeder's recommendations regarding feeding, exercise, and general care.

Remember, puppies are babies also! They need plenty of love, rest, fresh water, quality puppy food, a warm and dry place to sleep, and exercise.

All of our puppies are sold as “companion” animals, and not sold as either “show quality” or “pet quality”. No guarantee is made as to disposition, conformation, breeding ability, or color change. We do not guarantee size at maturity of our puppies sold. Size is determined by the parents of the individual puppy. Some may turn out larger some may turn out smaller.

Our dogs are AKC, APR or CKC registered. Registration papers will either be given to you when you pick up your puppy/puppy is shipped or mailed soon after. Breeder legally has 120 days to send registration papers to buy. If Bones Kennels fails to send such papers within 120 days, Bones Kennels must notify the buyer and there has an additional 60 days. However, if Bones Kennels fails to supply buyer with registration papers for puppy by the time the 60 days are up, Bones Kennels must refund buyer 75% of the cost of the puppy.

We have given your puppy lots of love, care, and attention. He/She will need the same attention from you.

We require a $100.00 non-refundable deposit to hold a puppy. We must receive payment in full before your puppy will be shipped or picked up.

Puppy must be paid for by his/her 8th week bday. If the puppy is held for longer than 1 week, there is a $15 charge for his/her 2nd set of shots.

Breeder is bound by this agreement to original buyer only.
